One of my
favorite stores has the disadvantage of being located in the dying
County Fair Mall in Woodland, CA. The main reason I go
to the Mall is not because of the rich variety of shops for most of
the best stores closed months ago and the rest are struggling to
remain open. When I went to the Mall to have a battery changed in
my blood sugar level tester, there were many stores closed. The
closer I got to J & G Gift Shop & Watch Repair the
greater my fear that J & G and my friend Mr. Young, the store owner
for the last 16 years, would be closed too. I was so happy to see
him open. After he installed a new battery for me in my blood
glucose tester, I decided to buy a few extra batteries just in case
Mr. Young's business is closed the next time I need one.
Talking to Mr.
Young I told him I need him to stay open and offered to make a short
internet commercial to promote his watch-maker skills
and his great high -value, low-cost gift shop. If you
are looking for a gift for the man or woman in your life, this is a
great place to find an unusual and/or wonderful gift item.
When I was
making the video to place on
YouTube to promote his watch-maker skills, I wanted people
to know that there are still affordable places to take your old
watch or clock to be repaired.
Years ago you
could go to almost any department store and buy a watch. That
department store would also replace any battery from the watch you
purchased with them. Now if you go back to get a new battery
installed I been told that the only thing they could do for me is
sell me a new watch.
So now you know
why I am so dependent on J & G Gift Shop and Watch repair.
I am too cheep to buy a new watch, new blood tester, new remote door
opener for my car, or new tool or equipment that uses the dime to
quarter size mini battery. The good news is, my friend said he would
give anyone who watched the video 10% off the cost of anything you
purchase from him--this includes battery replacement, watch or clock
repair or any of the thousands of high-quality products he carries.
J & G Gift
Shop and Watch Repair is the one place left that has the
tools and know how to change the battery in my watch.
